PEEK聚合體為聚醚醚酮(polyetheretherketone)的簡稱，因其具有以下幾種優異性能而成為受注目的耐高溫工程塑膠，如今，PEEK可算是頂級的熱塑性高性能工程塑膠中最著名的一種。其重要應用領域有電子/電氣零件，太空與航空零件，汽車零件，在特殊的工業零件與機械零件，電線塗覆，塗料，膜與纖維等。
PEEK polymer is the abbreviation of polyetheretherketone.
Now, PEEK is the most famous of the top thermoplastic high-performance engineering plastics.
Its important application areas are electronic/electrical parts, space and aviation parts, automotive parts, special industrial parts and mechanical parts, wire coating, coatings, films and fibers, etc.
It has become a high-temperature engineering plastic that attracts attention because of its excellent properties as follows.
*耐高溫性 High temperature resistance :
PEEK的玻璃轉變溫度(Tg)為143℃，而熔點(Tm)為340℃。纖維補強級PEEK的熱變形溫度可高達315℃，而長期的連續使用溫度(UL 946B)可達260℃。(可參照熱變形溫度表)
The glass transition temperature (Tg) of PEEK is 143°C and the melting point (Tm) is 340°C.
Fiber-reinforced PEEK heat distortion temperature can be as high as 315 ℃, and long-term continuous use temperature (UL 946B) can reach 260 ℃. (Refer to heat distortion temperature form)

*優良的耐水解性 Excellent hydrolysis resistance :
PEEK不會受到水或高壓水蒸氣的化學攻擊。
PEEK持續在高溫與高壓的水中老化多時，仍可維持高水準的機械性質。
PEEK is not chemically attacked by water or high pressure water vapor.
PEEK continues to maintain high levels of mechanical properties when aged in high temperature and high pressure water for a long time.
*安定性高&具阻燃性 High stability & flame retardant :
PEEK在厚度為1.45 mm時不需阻燃劑便可通過UL-94 V-0級。
PEEK的組成與高純度使其在著火時產生極少的煙，釋出的有毒氣體也極微少。
PEEK can passes UL-94 V-0 rating without flame retardant at 1.45 mm thickness.
The composition and high purity of PEEK results in a little smoke and toxic gas release during a fire.
*具摩擦性與耐磨損性 With friction and wear resistance :
有些特殊配方的摩擦級PEEK具有優異的摩擦性與耐磨損性。這些等級的PEEK在寬廣壓力，速度，溫度及匹配材料表面粗糙度範圍下顯現突出的耐磨損性。
